OUR STORY & VISION

ABOUT VEC

There are 45,000+ organizations serving veterans nation wide. We are the operating system for veteran transition and lifelong advancement in America.

BUILDING THE INFRASTRUCTURE THE VETERAN ECOSYSTEM LACKS

Military transition is often fragmented, inefficient, and difficult to navigate. Veterans encounter disconnected programs, overlapping services, unclear pathways, and institutional silos across government, nonprofit, education, workforce, entrepreneurship, and wellness sectors.

The Veteran Ecosystem Council and Veteran Ecosystem Foundation exist to reduce that friction. We believe veterans should experience transition not as a chaotic exit event, but as a structured progression into sustainable civilian success.

We are not a direct service provider. We are ecosystem infrastructure — the connective tissue across veteran service organizations, employers, educational institutions, government agencies, entrepreneurs, healthcare providers, and community organizations.

MEET THE FOUNDER & CEO

Amina Buric, MBA

As a U.S. Navy Veteran, I know firsthand that moving from military service to civilian life is one of the most profound transitions a person can navigate. I walked that exact path myself, and I experienced the confusion and fragmented support systems that too many of our service members face. I founded the Veteran Ecosystem Council with a deeply personal mission: to take the guesswork out of that journey and make the entire transition smoother, clearer, and truly empowering for every single veteran by leveraging synergies of over 45,000 veteran service organizations.

I see my role as a dedicated bridge-builder—connecting my fellow departing service members with corporate partners, essential resources, and a thriving community network. For me, VEC is about more than just programs; it is about creating a welcoming, reliable space where veterans can confidently step into their next chapter, discover their next mission, and succeed.
